Are you a compassionate, resilient and reliable Support Worker looking for a rewarding long-term role where you can make a real difference? We are now recruiting Residential Support Workers to join our team in our brand-new children’s home in Cheltenham.

Overview:

  • Title: Residential Support Worker
  • Salary: £29,000 per year
  • Location: Cheltenham
  • Shifts: 2 long days + 2 sleep-ins → 4 days off
  • Start Date: July 2026 Employment
  • Type: Full-time, permanent
  • Service: Children’s Residential (complex needs, trauma-informed)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build trusting, supportive relationships with young people
  • Support daily routines, education, life skills and activities
  • Promote independence, resilience and emotional development
  • Use trauma-informed and PBS approaches
  • Manage challenging behaviours professionally
  • Maintain safeguarding and regulatory standards
  • Complete accurate daily records and reports
  • Work collaboratively with the wider care and clinical team

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Caring, patient and emotionally resilient
  • Reliable, honest and professional
  • Able to stay calm during challenging situations
  • Willing to work a 2 on / 4 off rota
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Experience in children’s residential care, youth work or SEN
  • Level 3 Diploma Children & Young People (or willingness to work towards)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience supporting young people with complex needs
